"Prayer a Way Of Life"
Series: A New Life

Scripture Text:
"Seek the Lord and His strength, seek his face
continually." I Chronicles 16:11 (KJV)
Good morning, this is Osella coming to you from In
The Garden Ministries here in St Joseph, Mo. I
believe in prayer. I love to pray.
Prayer is my way of communicating with my creator,
with our creator. Pray is my way to face the
busyness of this life. I can go to God and
share with him and He is always there to listen.
Before I start my day I seek his guidance and
direction. I ask for His assurance that he
will be with me, with each step I take, with each
word I speak and with each decision I make. I
pray that my very actions will exemplify Christ.
Sometimes I get so upset with myself because I get
stubborn or upset about something little.
Sometimes I get argumentive with others and I know
that, that is not being Christ like. You see
my friend prayer is not just verbal communication,
prayer is a WAY OF LIFE. There was a time in
my life when I prayed that I would not say Amen.
I wanted my life to be in continued communication
with God. I Chronicles 16:11 says, "Seek the
Lord and His strength, seek his face continually"
and I Thessalonians 5:17 says "Pray without
ceasing". In yesterday's devotion Wayne said "
we can speak of prayer, we can even get into the
position of prayer. . . but, unless we apply our
heart, mind and soul in action it is of no use."
Prayer is not something we do just now and then,
when we eat or do our devotions. I is not
something we just do when a loved on is sick or for
someone who is hurting. My friend, prayer is a
way of life. How is your prayer life? I
hope over the next few days we can learn just how
powerful prayer is. Tomorrow I would like to
share with you about having, "The Mind of Prayer.
God bless you,
Let's pray:
Father teach us to live a life of prayer.
Teach us to live a Christ like life. Teach us
to be totally dedicated to you and to continually
walk in communication with you. Lord I pray
that when people see us and the way we live and act
that they will see Jesus, in whose Holy name I pray.
Amen.
