Scripture Text: "He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will me with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him" Psalms 91:15 (KJV)

Good morning, This is the day that the Lord hath made I will rejoice and be glad in it. This is Osella coming to you from In the Garden Ministries. Come and join me as we share the Word of God.

Yesterday we shared about how our prayers bring joy to God. He delights in our prayers. And my friend I am here to tell you that He loves to answer the prayers of his faithful people.. Psalms 91:15 "He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him."

If there is one thing prayer does it is to give us hope. Where I work there are many "non-Christians". I don't go around preaching at them and telling them what they are doing wrong and that they are doomed to spend eternity in hell. I am a firm believer that actions speak louder than words. I pray that each day those around me will see Christ in me. I have worked there four years and when a fellow worker faces a tragedy in their life they come to me and ask if they can speak to me and if I would please pray for them.

Recently a lady asked me to please pray for her family, her daughter's husband had committed suicide. A young lady who has been married for 21 years came to me and said I understand you believe in prayer. My husband was not feeling well and went to the hospital to see what was wrong. In less than 2 hours I got off work and went to get him at the hospital. They had taken him into emergency surgery. They had discovered he was in the last stages of colon cancer. He had no Idea. They had to remove several feet of his colon. Please pray for us, we are scared.

Another lady got called away from work as her daughter who was just five months pregnant was going into labor. They had to life flight the little less than 2 pound baby to Children's Mercy. Day and night they sat at the hospital by that little baby. One day The grand-mother came in and asked me to please pray for the baby and for her daughter.

A young man and his wife were having their first child. The little boy was born with all his intestines outside of his stomach. He was scared. I told him I would be praying for them. Then there was the young woman who came and asked if she could talk to me. Two years ago she had done something wrong and the case kept getting put off. She has two little children one is 7 and one is 9 and she is facing 5 years in prison.

I could go on and on with stories of people asking for prayers for a safe journey home during an ice storm, for their spouse to find a job, for a place to live. Why do people ask for prayer? WHY? because it gives them hope. Hope that there will be healing. Hope that they will make the right decision. Hope for a tomorrow.

My friend I challenge you to become a prayer warrior, to bring hope to those around you, to those that are hurting. Don't just tell them that you will pray for them, PRAY for them. Remember when all seems lost and dark, when it seems one is in the midst of a storm remember prayer brings hope. God bless you, let's pray.

Father help us each one to become true Prayer Warriors for you. Make us willing Lord and give us numerous opportunities to pray to bring hope into the lives of those we come in contact with. We love you Lord. Thank you for hearing our prayers Lord and for allowing us to be your vessel of hope. In Jesus name I pray. Amen
