Scripture: "And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still and see the Salvation of the Lord. . . " Exodus 14:13

I would like to continue on the Power of Prayer. You think your problems are so big that you do not know how God can take care of them.  You feel that you have reached the end of your journey and you just can't carry on.  Oh my friend how big is God.

My God is a Big! Mighty! Awesome! Powerful God!  Look at Exodus the 14th chapter Moses was given the awesome duty of leading the multitudes (millions) of Israelites out of bondage from Egypt.  The Egyptian army with their horses and chariots were in hot pursuit, on the heals of the Israelites.  They were going to take over and destroy the Israelites. They were right behind the Israelites and in front of the Israelites laid the red sea "And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still and see the Salvation of the Lord" Exodus 14:13 and in verse 21 "And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the Lord caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all the night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided."

WOW! my friend the Red Sea is 7,254 feet deep and at the narrowest part it is 22 miles across and 220 miles at the widest part and God caused it to separate and, listen now he not only caused it to separate but he made the floor of the sea where it separated dry. Some theologians say a twister took place at that time to cause the waters to separate.  Listen I do not know how he did it but I know he did it.  I know that the waters stayed divided until all the Israelites were crossed over to the other side.  When the Egyptians were crossing the waters came pouring over them and they were destroyed.  How big is God?  This is the God I'm serving.

You worry about where your next meal is coming from?  Remember the widow that Elijah came to and asked her for a drink and a morsel of bread.  She said there in I Kings 17 that she only had enough meal and oil to make a small portion for her and her son to eat.  Then they would starve.  The Prophet of the Lord, Elijah said, "Fear not; go and do as thou hast said, but make me a little cake first and bring it unto me, and after make for thee and for thy son."  "For thus saith the Lord God of Israel, the barrel of meal shall not waste neither shall the cruise of oil fail, unto the day that the Lord sendeth rain upon the earth."

Many of us would be saying or thinking, why you selfish man feed you and not my child first.  I do not believe God would say that, but she went and did it and she and her house ate for many days.

How big is God, that's the God I serve.  He's the same today as yesterday.  There is power in prayer and in listening to the answer God sends and obeying Him.  God bless you, let's pray.

Father thank you for loving us and for caring for us.  Teach us Lord to come before you boldly. Lord help each of us to know just how big and powerful you are.  Lord hear our prayers and open our ears that we might hear your reply and open our faith to accept the answers.  I love you Lord.  In Jesus name I pray, AMEN.
