Scripture: "Watch and pray that ye
enter not into temptation. The Spirit
indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak."
Matthew 26:41
Did you
ever notice when you get tired and wore out,
when you get so busy you do not have time to get
the proper amount of sleep or to eat right and
you grab fast food or just skip eating, after a
few days of that you start feeling ill and if
you keep it up your back starts to hurt.
Your head hurts and soon a fever comes over you
and the next thing you know your sick and seeing
the doctor or laying in bed feeling like you
cannot move.
You know
as well as I do if you would just slow down a
little and eat right and get some sleep and
exercise and take your vitamins you would not
have gotten into that shape physically. Our
physical bodies require us to take care of
ourselves. We need rest and to eat
properly in order to maintain a healthy body.
My friend the scripture tells us that even Jesus
took time to rest and to eat and I am here to
tell you we sure are not better then Him.
Well guess
what our spirit needs to be kept strong and
healthy. Matthew 26:11 Watch and pray that
ye enter not into temptation. The Spirit
indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak."
If you
want to be able to face the temptations that
Satan throws your ways, then you need to spend
time in prayer. Prayer is what gives your
spirit and soul Strength. Prayer is the
weapon that will bring you victory. Prayer
is food for our soul. Jesus spent much
time in prayer. After speaking to the
crowds and after performing miracles he would go
away by himself to rest and to pray that he
might regain his strength. He was in
constant communication with the Father as we
should be. Are you worried about what you
have to face today-pray. Are you concerned about
what tomorrow holds - pray. Are you looking for
answers - pray. Is your Spirit weak -
pray. Feed on God's word and spend time in
prayer and your faith will be renewed.
Your Spiritual strength will be renewed.
So my friend, today take time to pray.
Better yet, do not start the day without first
praying. God bless you, let's pray.
Father
teach us to take care of these physical bodies
you have given us. Help us to take care of our
spiritual bodies by spending time in prayer and
communication with you, Thank you God for
always being there to hear our prayers and to
answer our prayers. Lord thank you for always
being there just waiting to hear from us.
We love you Lord, thank you for loving us.
In Jesus name I pray Amen.
