Scripture: "For Moses had said, Consecrate yourselves to day to the Lord, even every man upon his son, and upon his brother; that he may bestow upon you a blessing this day." Exodus 32:39 (KJV)

Yesterday I spoke on how God wants to bless us, if we will obey His word. Today I would like to take a moment to speak about that. As Christians we should be a CONSECRATED Christian. In Exodus 32:39 its says "For Moses had said, Consecrate yourselves today to the Lord, even every man upon his son, and upon his brother; that he may bestow upon you a blessing this day." Webster says that consecrated means to make or declare sacred, to devote irrevocably to the worship of God, to devote to a purpose with deep dedication. Yes my friend that is what the Webster dictionary says.

Have you truly devoted your life to God. If not now is the time to do so. We need to be living a Holy, Sacred life. We need to be Christ like at all times, at work or school, when out with friends, even when we are in a restaurant we need to be Christ like. The other day I and my youngest daughter, who is going through a divorce, took her two little ones out to eat. We went to hold hands and to pray, as we always do, when my four year old grandson said "daddy said we don't pray when we are out like this, mommy." We told him yes we do because Jesus gave us this food and it is important to thank him for it. We bowed our heads and Jacob prayed. Do you pray when you go out to eat? How about when you are in the break room or lunch room at work. Do you bow your head and pray or do you look around to see if anyone is watching first. Consecration my friend, Holy Consecrated to the life of Christ. We need to always have Jesus with us where ever we go. Actually we should be Christ covered with skin.

So often we read the scriptures and we want all the blessings that God has for us, but we don't want to obey His word and live the life he wants us to live. Today let's consecrate our whole life to Him. Today in EVERY word we say and EVERY action we do let us be Christ like. We are Christians and we need to be Christians 100% of the time. As Moses said there in the 39th verse of the 32nd chapter of Exodus Consecrate yourself that he may bestow a blessing upon you today. Are you waiting for God to bless you. He's waiting for you to consecrate your life to Him. God bless you. Let's pray.

Almighty heavenly father, we come to you to day seeking a life that is wholly and completely consecrated to you. Anoint us dear Lord and may all that we come in contact with know that we are yours. Bless us today Lord and use us to bless others. In Jesus name we pray. Amen
