"The Christ-Like Christian"

Scripture:
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a
glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to
glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord." II Corinthians 3:18
Let us continue today on being the Christian that God wants us
to be. II Corinthians 3:18 says "But we all, with open face beholding as
in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to
glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord." If we really want to be a holy,
anointed Christian, than the answer is to be Christ like. as that verse
says when we look in a mirror we should see Jesus and all those around us should
be seeing Jesus when they see us. One of my favorite choruses we use to
sing said "I would that others might see, the marks of Jesus in me, for they
will not believe if they do not perceive the marks of Jesus in me" Oh my
dear brothers and sisters there is nothing greater than to model your life after
Jesus.
Have you done some soul searching this week? I hope so.
Every night when I lay my head to rest, I look through the days' happenings to
see if I was Christ like in all aspects of my life. Did I portray Jesus at
work, at the grocery store, at the bank, how about while driving? Did I Portray
Jesus in every conversation that I had? Did my family see Jesus in me? You know
it is important that those we love and are the closest to see Jesus in us.
They know us better than anyone else.
If I failed somewhere, I ask God to
forgive me and to help me to be a better Christian tomorrow. II Peter 1:4
says "Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by
these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption
that is in the world through lust." God has and will keep you from the
snares of the devil. Place your hand in God's hand and take a good look at
yourself and you will look at others differently. You are a miniature Christ.

Father it is our desire to be like Jesus. Cleanse us O
Lord and draw us ever closer to thee. Make us Christ like Lord in all our
actions, in everything we say and do may others see Jesus in us. Lord we
love you and long to be the Christian you want us to be. Make us like
Jesus in His name we pray. Amen
