Scripture:
"Lead
me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou are the God
of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day."
Psalms 25:5
Yesterday we talked about the promise of God's
divine direction. We touched on asking and today I
would like to speak a little more on seeking his
divine Guidance. In Psalms 25 the 5th verse we read
"Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou are
the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the
day." You see God wants to give us His divine
guidance, BUT He wants us to seek it. He is waiting
for us to ask Him for His directions, for His help
for His guidance. We need to seek God with all our
heart, with all our soul and with all our might.
When we come before him and earnestly seek his
guidance, then He knows we love Him and trust Him
and will listen to His guidance.
I sit and watch my little two year old
grand-daughter try to dress herself. I ask her if
she wants help. She says, "No, I do it myself." She
struggles trying to get the shirt over her head and
her pants on. It usually ends up with both legs in
one pant leg and her shoes on the wrong feet. Then
soon after complete exhaustion she gives up and
comes to me and says please mamma, please help. I
know that after many tries that she will learn. God
wants us to grow strong as we face all the trials
and tribulations that comes our way. He is always
there to help us, but He wants us to know that He is
there. He wants us to come to Him when we have
exhausted our faith, when we have endured as long as
we can, then He knows we will completely rely on
Him. He will be there.
Psalms 27
The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom
shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my
life; of whom shall I be afraid When the wicked,
even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to
eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell. Though
an host should encamp against me, my heart shall
not fear; though war should rise against me, in
this will I be confident. One thing have I
desired of the Lord, that will I seek after;
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all
the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the
Lord, and to enquire in his temple. For in the
time of trouble he shall hide me in his
pavilion: in the secret of His tabernacle shall
he hide me; he shall se me up upon a rock. And
now shall mine head be lifted up above mine
enemies round about me; therefore will I offer
in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will
sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the Lord.
Hear, O Lord when I cry with my voice: have
mercy also upon me, and answer me. When thou
saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto
thee, Thy face, Lord, will I seek. Hide not thy
face far from me; put not thy servant away in
anger; thou hast been my help; leave me not,
neither forsake me, or God of my Salvation When
my father and my mother forsake me, then the
Lord will take me up. Teach me thy way, O Lord,
and lead me in a plain path, because of mine
enemies. Teach me thy way, O Lord, and lead me
in a plain path, because of mine enemies.
Deliver me not over unto the will of mine
enemies: for false witnesses are risen up
against me, and such as breathe out cruelty. I
had fainted, unless I had believed to see the
goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
God bless you
let's pray.
Father, teach us to seek you and to seek you with
our whole heart. Lord we long to be stronger men and
women of Christ. Help us Lord. Guide and direct us
in all things that we do and even in all things that
we say. Lord increase our faith today. We love you
Lord and we seek your guidance in our lives today.
In Jesus name I pray Amen
