SCRIPTURE: "Let the people praise thee, O God, let all the people praise thee." Psalms 67:3

Paul and Silas were going about doing the work of the Lord, they prayed in the name of Jesus that evil spirits would come out of a lady. Several men became very upset as they made money off of the works of this lady and they knew now that she would make them no money. They had Paul and Silas thrown in jail, after beating them accusing them of causing exceedingly great trouble in the city. What did Paul and Silas do? Did they yell and scream that they were being miss-treated. Did they cry and moan and complained and asked God why?

NO NO NO! They prayed and sang praises to God. And God caused great earthquake and the very foundation of the prison was shaken and not only did the doors of the cells open but every prisoners hands were loosed. The greatest part of this story is that the guard came and fell down before Paul and Silas, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? you can find this in the 16th chapter of Acts.

I am here to tell you that there is power in praise. We were in a very bad storm once, It was right after the Sunday evening service. The congregation had all left and we were picking up as we always did after the service. We gathered the children together and sat on the Chapel floor. The lights were out and the church was shaking from the wind. The children were terrified. Wayne got his guitar and started singing praises, the children soon felt safe and relaxed and started singing with daddy. We sang until the storm ceased. We were all blessed and felt drawn closer to our Lord.

When Wayne's Mother was dying of cancer, we sat in her hospital room. We were grieving, although we knew she was going to be with her Lord and Saviour. Wayne and Angel our oldest daughter started singing praises. We had a great peace come over us as Wayne's mother was taken into the arms of Jesus.

When trouble comes your way, when you are walking through the storms of life remember, Psalms 67:3 says "Let the people praise thee, O God, let all the people praise thee." There is nothing that you have to face that God cannot help you through. He is there for you just call on his name and sing praise to Him. You will be lifted up.. your chains of bondage will be set free. God bless you, let's pray.

Father we praise you, we praise your Holy name. We love you and we praise you Lord. We are your children and we will continually praise your Holy name.

Psalms 67 says ...

"God be merciful unto us, and bless us; and cause his face to shine upon us. That thy way may be known upon earth, thy saving health among all nations. Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee. O let the nations be glad and sing for joy: for thou shalt judge the people righteously, and govern the nations upon earth. Selah. Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee. Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God shall bless us. God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him".
