Scripture Text: "Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth." John 12:35 (KJV)

There is no doubt in my mind as we face the echoes in the hallways of our Whitehouse here in these United States of America that we are walking in darkness. Touting a one world currency and a universal health care package; and watching as this administration continues to meander into things that are absolutely against the constitution of this country, PROVE that we are a people that are walking in darkness.

Friend, the Lord is saying to you and I this morning as a WARNING...

"Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth."

If you are a Christian you will be Raptured from the darkness that is yet to follow. But it you do not name the name of the Lord and you are living in sin and say you have no time for God, you will be plunged into such darkness in the very near future - that a comet colliding with this planet and destroying all life - would be merciful compared to what you will experience.

Someone sent me a picture of the Whitehouse the other day and they meant it for a joke as they asked the question, "What color is the Whitehouse now?" (They had painted it the color they had chosen to  enhance their joke - referring to President Obama as our President) All I could see was the color of RED! By the way... race is the last thing we need to be dealing with at this point in our history. Friend, all I can see is the color red as I see a nation stained with the blood of unborn children. I seen a nation stained with the blood of those who we have left behind because they did not possess any "value-added" qualities. They were too old, too sick, too poor, or they were the wrong color or had nothing to give to this current day and age in which we are living. I seen a nation that told her doctors and nurses who were at one time bound by their conscience and their faith - that they are now bound by a law that tells them they have no conscience and cannot disobey. If they are told to perform an abortion or an assisted suicide: or to just pull the plug altogether - they have to comply.

AS USUAL WE'VE GOT IT ALL WRONG!

When God created man, He looked at His Creation and He said, "IT IS GOOD"! There were no Theologians to give him the WORDS to say - no Philosophers to impress with His knowledge - HE WAS  THE CREATOR GOD! What possibly could anyone add to or take away from His WORDS! Yet you and I do it every day.

Look at His Words there concerning His Creation of Man and Woman. He said,

"And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be  fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it:" Genesis1:26-28 (KJV)

Now friend, there's a whole lot we could glean from these verses - most of all that God doesn't hold the same tolerance that many think they should abide by - when it comes to Homosexuality. God's WORD is clear; no matter what you call it: Marriage, Civil Union, or whatever else, His intention was for one man and one woman to be "fruitful" and multiply. Now, that leaves out the union between two men, or the union between two women. No matter how "fruitful" they get, they're not going to be able to multiply. And lest someone thinks I'm making a play on that word "fruitful" to make some kind of base, sinister statement about homosexuality - I have one reason for putting the "quotes" around it and that is to give it the same connotation and meaning God gave it. Whatever they may do to create a child between them - WILL NOT WORK, because God did not create two men, nor did he create two women. He created one man and one woman. That was the Only Union that God blessed and should be the only Union that we as men and women of God should bless. This business of thinking we are so enlightened that we can or should "recognize" a lifestyle that God doesn't! HOW ARROGANT! HOW DANGEROUS!

By the same token, when God blessed Adam and Eve - He blessed LIFE. He didn't sanction the murder of unborn children, and he cursed Cain for killing off his brother. He did not sanction nor does He  condone even today the mistreatment of the poor or the elderly. All of these things show us that we are - as a Nation and as a WORLD - already WALKING IN DARKNESS!

What we need in this day and age my friend is men and women of Christ who are so filled with the Holy Ghost that they begin to speak the WORD and Pray The WORD and SING the WORD and Live the  WORD. Yet most of us don't even crack our Bibles unless it's on Sunday. It's one of those things we do once a week because we have to. In fact, most people take more showers and drink more soda-pop and coffee then they open their Bible and read it. Most people find themselves offering up their petitions more on the floors at McDonalds or Taco Bell then they do one their knees before God!

Want to get angry with me? Go  Ahead! You know it's TRUE!

WE NEED MEN AND WOMEN WHO COME TO THE REALIZATION THAT THE LIGHT (JESUS) is currently still here. But let me ask you something... how does it make you feel for me to tell you that God loves you so much that He follows you to work and He follows you to the Grocery Store and He follows you to the school house or the doctor's office? HOW DOES IT MAKE YOU FEEL - THAT HE LOVES YOU SO MUCH THAT HE GOES WITH YOU EVERYWHERE AND YET YOU HARDLY EVER SPEAK TO HIM! TRY DOING THAT TO YOUR SPOUSE; YOUR BOSS; YOUR BEST FRIEND; or JUST GO STAND IN THE DRIVE THROUGH AT Mc DONALD'S AND SAY  NOTHING! They'll call the Police to come and get you.  YET WE EXPECT JESUS TO JUST "DEAL WITH IT"?

Friend, everyone of us need to start getting serious about God! I didn't say get serious about religion - you can have all the religion you want... in fact some of you have a different religion on Mondays and  Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays: and your Bulletin is the TV GUIDE! PUT THE REMOTE DOWN AND PRAY! PUT THE REMOTE DOWN AND READ THE BIBLE! PUT THE REMOTE DOWN AND WORSHIP THE LORD! It is the only way that you are going to turn things around in your life, in your family, in your town and in the NATION! CAN YOU IMAGINE what would happen if we had ONE MILLION PEOPLE IN FERVENT PRAYER AND INTERCESSION FOR THIS NATION EVERY NIGHT?

But this is the reason why the Lord told his disciples to go back to Jerusalem and to "tarry" there. He wasn't as concerned with their "staying" in the City of Jerusalem as He was their "remaining" in Him.
Both of those words are synonyms of the word "tarry"! But look at the difference in their meaning.

"Stay" means to defer, to halt, to pause, to postpone, to standstill, to stop... do you think that's what Jesus had in mind for His followers?

But look at that word "remain". It means to abide, to cling, to continue, to hold the fort, to inhabit, to keep on, to last, to linger, to live, outlast, outlive, persist, prevail... which do you think was the desire of the Lord for His followers?

Oh how God needs people today who know what it means to remain in Him. It certainly doesn't mean letting all of those faith busters out there so steal your JOY that you defer, or halt, or pause, or postpone, or standstill, or stop! We don't have time for that my friends.

Last night I was listening to the Gaithers and they sang a beautiful song called "Lead me Gently Home Father! Lead me Gently  Home!" Well friend, I can tell you that there was a time in my life where I may have been satisfied with that to be my prayer as I left this world for the next. But NOT TODAY! WE NEED MEN AND WOMEN WHO ARE WILLING TO GO OUT OF THIS WORLD SCREAMING JESUS SAVES! JESUS SAVES! JESUS SAVES!!!

Oh friend, it's not time to get squeamish and all kinds of soft emotionally. THIS IS WAR AND WE NEED TO GET SAVED AND FILLED WITH THE HOLY GHOST AND GET BUSY! WE NEED TO ABIDE IN HIM, CLING TO HIM, TO CONTINUE FOR HIM, HOLD THE FORT, INHABIT, KEEP ON, LINGER IN WORSHIP, LIVE A LIFE OF PRAISE, OUTLAST, OUTLIVE, PERSIST, PREVAIL AND PROCLAIM THE VICTORY IN JESUS' NAME LIKE THERE'S NO TOMORROW - BECAUSE THERE MAY NOT BE. In fact, we know that to be a fact for someone! YOU MAY BE THE ONLY CONNECTION THEY WILL MAKE BETWEEN EARTH AND HEAVEN - or HELL! MAKE SURE YOU'RE PLUGGED IN AND FULLY CHARGED SO IN JESUS' NAME AND BY HIS HOLY GHOST POWER THEY WILL BE SAVED!

Let's pray....

Father - I want to be plugged in, filled up and fully charged so that all who I come in contact with from now until the day that you call me home - will see JESUS and HIS POWER TO SAVE, HEAL, and RESTORE! I know you're coming Lord, and we have very little time to win the Lost! Help Me Jesus to do my part - In Jesus' Name I Pray, Amen!
