Scripture Text: " For as he thinketh in his
heart, so is he:..." Proverb 23:7
Have you ever noticed that when you are around a
group of people who start to talk bad about others
how easy it is to join in? At the same time if
you are with a group of happy people you will feel
happy and join them in laughter. If you are
with depressed people you start to feel depressed.
Notice that this week. You, try to be happy
and upbeat and bring others into this mood.
Proverbs 23:7 says "For as he thinketh in his heart,
so is he:..."
This past week my oldest daughter, Angel, sent me
something that spoke to my heart. I would like
to share it with you.
"One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about
a battle that goes on inside people. He said, "My
son, the battle is between two wolves inside us all.
One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow,
regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt,
resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride,
superiority, and ego.
The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope,
serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy,
generosity, truth, compassion and faith."
The grandson thought about it for a minute and then
asked his grandfather: "Which wolf wins?"
The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."
What are you feeding your soul, my friend?
Satan is the author of evil. He fills our souls with
anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed and all
the bad things. God is the author of that
which is good, he is the one that fills us with joy,
peace, love, hope and all things that are good.
Read his word, spend time in prayer and communicate
with God. Spend time in fellowship with strong
Christians. Feed your soul with praise and
thanksgiving. Starve that which is evil by turning
away from gossip, anger, "X" and "R" rated movies. Be a
100% Christian 100% of the time. God bless
you. Let's pray.
Father, fill us with your joy. Fill us with your
peace. Fill us with your love. Lord may
our spirits overflow with the love of Christ.
Lord may those we work with, our family and all
those we come in contact with know that we belong to
you. In Jesus" Name I pray, Amen.
