Scripture:
"If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my
Father will love him, and we will
come unto him, and make our abode with him. He that loveth me not keepeth not my
sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but
the Father's which sent me." John 14:23,24
(KJV)
I have spoken many times on that literal place
called Hell, and I'm not going to get into
it here today with the exception of reiterating that
God will not send YOU or ANYONE to
HELL. He has set an order on the universe and
spoken it into existence and He has
said that the soul that sinneth it shall die.
(ref., Ezekiel 18:4) That
means if you sin... you will go to Hell -
because you "chose" to go there.
When a man cheats on his wife, one of the first
things she says is, "If you really loved
me, you wouldn't have cheated on me." Of course they
guy doesn't see it that way
exactly because 99% will say they cheated but they
still loved their wives. They will
even go so far as to say the devil made them do it!
No he didn't! It was your sin nature
that you never gave to God. AND, let's get this
clear ladies... he cheated on you
because he didn't love the Lord! Watch this... John
14: 23 and 24.
"If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my
Father will love him, and we will
come unto him, and make our abode with him. He that loveth me not keepeth not my
sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but
the Father's which sent me."
(KJV)
Now, it's very possible that God dropped that into
the heart of the female in such a way
that she uses that as her reasoning for her husband
cheating on her - and don't get
me wrong, he deserves to hear it over and over until
he gets the fact that your
relationship was based on love and stems from love,
and when he goes against that -
he shows you that he doesn't love you.... even
though... he probably does. But wait a
minute... before you click the reply button and decide
to jump all over me. Here's what I
am trying to say here today and please take it to
heart... what are you doing to Jesus?
Are you not cheating on Him. Did you not say that
you loved him with all of your heart
and all of your soul and all of your mind... and
yet, what do you choose instead of him?
When was they
last time that you turned off the
Television and took out the Bible and just
fed on His love letters to you? When was the last
time that you got down on your knees
and told Him how much you loved Him and how much you
needed Him and how... "He
completed you?" When was the last time that you
closed your eyes and just reached
deep with your spirit and soul and began to praise
Him and worship Him and thank
Him for His provision and just really "connect" in
such a way that you felt as though you
would explode.
Sisters in Jesus... Brothers in
Jesus... this is the reason "cheating"
happens. If you can cheat on the ALMIGHTY GOD and
treat The Gift of His SON like
He's just another trinket you put on the shelf...
how can you expect to have "any"
integrity in any thing you do?
Do you love Him? He said, "If a man love me, he will
keep my words:" otherwise, "He
that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings."
All of the stuff of life that so easily beats against
your spirit on a daily basis, would be so much
easier to handle if you had that kind of intense,
intimate relationship with Jesus. There
would no doubts that your bills would be paid, no
doubt that your body would be
healed; no doubt that all things in your life were
going to work out for good - because
you would feel His strength inside of you and you
would feel His faith inside of you there
would be no fear and darkness - no sin. There would
be no place for it! He would fill up all of those
dark places!
Now, I'm going to say something in closing here that
someone isn't going to like - but it
is one of the truest things I have ever said: THERE
IS ONE THING THAT GOD
CANNOT MAKE YOU DO... WILL NOT MAKE YOU DO... and
that is to make you LOVE HIM!
While He's no sitting and pulling the petals off of
flowers going, "She loves me, she
loves me not", he is wooing you with every waking
moment, because you are that
IMPORTANT to Him. He Loves you and wants to spend
forever with you. In fact, He's
even now planning a wedding feast on your behalf. Will you
receive His invitation and come?
Lets pray together shall we... and you pray this
prayer after me.
Father, I have sinned against you, and I need your
forgiveness. I have cheated on you
Lord by not spending time with you in prayer and in
reading the Bible and being in WORSHIP with You! I do Love You Lord Jesus and I ask You
forgiveness and Your help to be all
that I should be for You. I come Lord Jesus, once
again, and I surrender my will to be Your very own. I want to spend the rest of my life
with You Lord, and I give You all there
is of me just now, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
