Scripture: " Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you."     I Peter 5:7

Today's economy is in bad shape. Even for this Easter it was predicted by the National Retail Federation that Americans would spend more than 14% less  than last year.  By the way that means the average American will spend about $116  that is $20 less than in 2008 on brightly decorated candy, gifts and decorations Prices on just about everything we buy has gone high sky. Our Government here in the USA really is not in the best of shape.  There is not only much back biting there is much stealing and lying and dishonesty going on. I am not sure what has happened to one nation under God.  America, it does seem like we are in trouble. As we look around often things look very dismal and depressing.

Let's look back at the time of the resurrection. The Disciples were deeply distressed by the circumstances that had taken place.  Jesus, their leader, God's son had been betrayed by the multitudes that had been following him. He was murdered by the government.  The disciples expectations of a world savior was destroyed as the nails were hammered into the hands of Jesus. They were utterly devoid of hope.  They were a care worn group of disciples.  In this very moment of great despair, where everything was dark and hope was gone, God did the inconceivable and resurrected His son from the dead. Then God made sure that it was Jesus' friends and disciples that got to see him first. He gave them great hope when all was dark.

My precious friends, do you hear that.  Do you realize when all is dark in your life.  When all seems hopeless, when it seems you have no place to turn do not give up, God is there.  I Peter 5:7 says  " Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you." Is there trouble in your marriage? Cast all your care upon Him. Do you have family members in trouble or living a life of sin? Cast your care upon Him.  Are you facing financial problems? Cast your care upon Him. Are you facing serious health issues? Cast your care upon Him.  Are you deeply depressed? Cast your care upon Him.  He is there for you, He cares for you and loves you and has the answers. God cares for your country to, pray and ask him to bless your country and to bring it back to God.  God cares about what you care about because He loves you. 

God does loves you. He is there to hold you, to lift you up, to give you strength to face each day and each trial. He is there to hear and answer your prayers.  God bless you, let's pray.

Father we humbly come before you to thank you for being there to hear and to answer our prayers.  Thank you for being there when all seems dark.  Thank you for caring for us.  We love you Lord.  Teach us to serve you and to trust you.  Lord bless each one who comes to the In The Garden site. Bless them and meet their needs Lord.  Bless them Lord and give them strength to face each day. Lord bless our country and forgive the many leaders who have turned their back on you.  Father send witnesses to them to speak to them. Lord increase the faith of the Christian men and women in leadership positions and give them courage to stand up for you.  We love you Lord, thank you for loving us.  In Jesus name I pray Amen
