"IT'S
ALL NEW - Pt 3"
"A Vision Of The New Heaven"
Pastor Wayne Clabaugh
Scripture Text: "And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem,
coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as
a bride adorned for her husband." Revelation 21:
2 (KJV)
We know that all scripture is given by the
Inspiration of God, yet, I can hardly see how
the finite mind, and our limited vocabulary
could ever describe or picture of the Holy City,
The New Jerusalem. All we can do is to imagine.
Let's Listen to this song by Michael English
entitled, "I bowed on My Knees and Cried Holy!"
I'll be back right after the song with the rest
of today's In The Word.
Oh Hallelujah! What A day that will be when My
Jesus I shall see. Praise the Lord! Oh Friend -
I can barely contain myself. I'm going to see my
mama again - I'm going to see my Son again - but
more than all of that I will see Jesus.
Hallelujah To The Lamb!
Look at what John says here about it.
"And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the
first heaven and the first earth were passed
away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw
the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from
God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned
for her husband. And I heard a great voice out
of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God
is with men, and he will dwell with them, and
they shall be his people, and God himself shall
be with them, and be their God. And God shall
wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there
shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor
crying, neither shall there be any more pain:
for the former things are passed away. And he
that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make
all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for
these words are true and faithful. And he said
unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the
beginning and the end. I will give unto him that
is athirst of the fountain of the water of life
freely". Revelation 21:1-6 (KJV)
What a joyous promise! Aren't you glad that you
know Him? Aren't you glad that you are prepared
to meet Him and that you will one day walk into
that glorious arena, and see the beauty of those
Jasper walls, and the sheen of those streets
paved with gold, and the meadows filled with the
greenest grass you have ever seen - filled with
every flower imaginable. You will be running
through the meadows and there ... sitting over
beneath a tree will be a Lamb playing with a
Lion, and together as they see you coming, they
lay down to rest side by side. You will cross
over the little bridge spanning across an
endless stream coming from the New Jerusalem,
and as you look that way the light is so intense
it draws you closer. Now, just inside the gates
of the city you find "Him". You throw yourself
at His feet and for the first time maybe - you
understand what Mary felt as she broke open that
Alabaster box and anointed Him with that
precious spikenard: and even though it has been
years - you catch a whiff of the aroma that
filled the room and you realize that it was not
the spikenard that so filled the room with it's
aroma, but it was the sacrifice of the Lamb -
pure and holy, that even then had laid down His
life for the whosoever will.
O friend - You don't want to miss out on the
greatest experience of your eternity. You too
will want to bow on your Knees and cry "Holy".
