Scripture Text: ""Blessed are the undefiled
in the way, who walk in the law of the
LORD." Ps 119:1 (KJV)
We've spent an entire month now speaking
about "walking in the spirit" and what it
takes to do so. Believe me folks, there are
those who have set rituals that they go
through every day and have set their day by
their watches and when it's time to pray -
if they have added that in as part of the
day's ritual, they pray, and have you ever
done that? I mean - try to pray at a certain
time because that's the time you have
scheduled for it? No wonder America has
succumb to homosexuality and killing babies.
We're not getting saturated with the Lord
and learning to walk in His ways. How can we
be considered as "undefiled" when we are not
filled with Spirit and walking with the
Spirit: walking in the Spirit every moment
of every day? We can't! That word today says
"Blessed are the undefiled..." That means
"Blessed are the complete..."
"Blessed are the wholesome..."
"Blessed are the entire..."
"Blessed are the sound of mind - having
integrity."
The WORD goes on to say,
"Blessed is the man that walketh not in the
counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the
way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of
the scornful. But his delight is in the law
of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate
day and night." Psalms 1: 1 & 2 (KJV)
If you broke that verse down in the Hebrew
you would find:
"BLESSED (HAPPY, fortunate, prosperous) is
the man who walks (and lives) not in the
counsel of the ungodly (meaning to follow
their advice or their plans and purposes),
nor stands (now get this - submissive and
inactive) in the path where sinners walk,
nor sits down (relaxing and doing nothing -
resting on their laurels), where the
scornful (the mockers of life) gather.
But
his delight (the undefiled)
and desire are
in the law of the Lord, and on His law (the
precepts, the instructions, the teachings of
God) he (persistently, regularly, steadily,
with unfailing covenant) meditates (ponders
and studies) by day and by night. (ref.,
Rom. 13:8-10; Gal. 3:1-29; II Tim. 3:16.)
Now friend, this is the ONLY WAY to find
that place of Victory over Sin. You can't
think that going to church on Sundays and
Wednesday nights alone will keep you "undefiled".
But YOU CAN live a life undefiled because
the scripture says so.
"Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who
walk in the law of the LORD." Ps 119:1
If there weren't a group of people who could
be called the "undefiled in the way" that
could be called "blessed" who walk in the
Lord, the scripture wouldn't have spoken
about it - but wait! Look at the next two
verses there. Now this is BIBLE!
"Blessed are they that keep his
testimonies...,"
Have you kept the testimony of the Lord in
your life today. Have you told someone about
Jesus and the difference that He has made in
your life and then lived like it? The Word
goes on to say,
They that, "...seek him with the whole
heart".
Oh, if we had a nation that would seek God
with their whole heart; if we had a world
that would seek God with their whole heart -
we wouldn't have all the trouble that we're
having today. But the word goes on to say,
"They also do no iniquity: they walk in his
ways." Psa 119:2, 3 (KJV)
Are you vacillating between life and LIFE
ABUNDANT - FILLED WITH THE JOY AND BLESSINGS
OF THE ALMIGHTY GOD? Begin today to take the
Lord with you and apply him to your EVERY
SITUATION! He's not embarrassed to have you
admit your short-comings - He already knows
what they are. If God be for you (and He is)
no one can be against you! (ref., Romans
8:31)
Now that's V-I-C-T-O-R-Y!
Let's pray:
Father: I don't just need to have you
walk with me and talk with me and tell me
that I am your own, I need to walk with you
and talk with you and tell you that you are
my own as well. My all in all. I do that
today in Jesus' Name, Amen.
