SCRIPTURE: "Then Jesus was led up into the wilderness by the Spirit, to be tempted by the Devil. And having fasted forty days and forty nights, afterwards He hungered. And coming near to Him, the Tempter said, If You are the Son of God, speak that these stones may become loaves. But answering, He said, It has been written: "Man shall not live by bread alone, but on every Word going out of the mouth of God." Mat 4:1-4  (KJV)

WOW!!! Talk about being HIGH on Jesus! Did you get that last portion of today's text? I want you to take it in and just allow it to permeate your Spirit this morning. These are Jesus' Words to the TEMPTATION of the Devil. Jesus said,

"Man shall not live by bread alone, but on every Word going out of the mouth of God."

Oh friend - how can we let that verse go without shouting it from the roof tops. What do you have need of this morning? Well What does the Mouth or Word of God say?

Are you depressed this morning? What does God WORD have to say about it?

"Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.  fear not, neither be dismayed." Deu 31:6,8 (KJV)

Are you sick in body this morning? What does God WORD have to say about it?

"Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them." Matthew 18:18-20 (KJV)

What about....

"Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways." Job 22:28 (KJV)

Do you need a healing in your finances this morning? What does God WORD have to say about it?

"And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive." Mat 21:22

Or...

"And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you." John 14:13-17 (KJV)  

Do you need understanding in your marriage and maybe a spirit of renewal? What does God WORD have to say about it?

Are you getting this? Man shall not live by bread (sustenance, life commodities) alone, but "ON EVERY WORD GOING OUT OF THE MOUTH OF GOD".

But watch this...

That word in the Greek is the same word used for the shewbread or the "bread of presence". We spoke about that last week and I'm going to touch on it here again briefly because it was a very important statement regarding religion.

The shewbread or the bread of presence was an ordinance of the Lord when the Jewish priests would enter the Holy of Holies and light the incense and perform the priestly rituals. It consisted of 12 loaves which represented the 12 tribes of Israel, and was changed out every week without fail. Without the shewbread or the "bread of presence" the Priests could not carry out their priestly duties. What's interesting is that if they had the Temple today they would still be following that religious element of the faith.

Now listen carefully here my friend. Your church, and the voice of your church is not necessarily the Voice of God. What's worse... Your church may not be holding to the WORD of God at all... but may be straying toward the "new age movement" that is trying to even deny the virgin birth and that Jesus was truly the Son of God. Many of then are following the footsteps of The Tony Blair Faith Foundation and the WCC (World Council of churches) that strips every faith of their doctrinal beliefs merely because they say they are a detriment to progress.

Those kinds of special interest groups are moving toward a ONE WORLD RELIGION and they are not hearing the VOICE of God, nor are they reading His Word.

Once again...  The WORD says... "Jesus" says...

"Man shall not live by bread alone, but on every Word going out of the mouth of God."

In light of what I have relayed to you this morning from the Father... we could then say...

"Man shall not live by religion alone, but on every WORD going out of the mouth of God".

What the world NEEDS today is men and women who will not bend to the Nebuchadnezzars of this world, but will say with great conviction...

"...our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up." Daniel 3:17,18 (KJV)

Talk about finding the true bread of presence... what does it say there about the inside of that fiery furnace when Nebuchadnezzar turned it up seven times hotter than normal... we read there in the 24th verse....

"Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonied, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king. He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God." Dan 3:24,25 (KJV)

Now that's the TRUE BREAD OF PRESENCE!!!

Let's pray,

Father, we're getting pretty beat up down here with all that's happening around the world, and people in high places are beginning to lick their chops as they look at the Christians and see us as one of their greatest challenges. We The People were created under Godly principles, and we will fight and die if necessary to maintain that kind of freedom. Lord, we are in those Beginnings of Sorrows you spoke about there in Matthew 24 and we need your strength and your courage and your Blood to be once again smeared over the door  posts of our homes and most of all - our hearts, and deliver us from evil. Fill every soul that has named your  name with the fullness of your Spirit and give us another Pentecost O Lord that we might thrust in that sickle  just one more time and bring in the harvest before it's too late. Oh give us the courage and the boldness of  Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and give us a REVIVAL we pray. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
