"The
Spirit of Fear Exposed"

Scripture Text:
"For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of
power, and of love, and of a
sound mind." 2 Timothy 1:7 (KJV)
Are you angry? Why? Are you fearful? Why? Are you
depressed and feeling low? Why? Some would have to be
honest and say that hey just don't know, but the truth
is - all of things the things that are going on in
Washington and around the WORLD are stating to bother
people. While they may not say much, deep down inside
there's a throbbing that just won't go away. There's
those sleepless nights agonizing over family and
wondering if this really is the end of times spoken of
in the Bible. Not even Pills can make it go away: it
just continues to gnaw at your insides until your ready
to just explode. Why? Fear. All kinds of fear. Fear for
your own safety and for your immediate loved ones; fear
for your siblings and friends and co-workers. Fear for
America herself. BUT WAIT!
"God has not given you the spirit
of fear;"
God
doesn't move in those venues of conflict - wait, let me
rephrase that... He "can't" move
in those venues of conflict - they're not "from"
Him. He has nothing to do
with them except to make them flee.
Let me explain. God is God... He doesn't have a reason
to work in a spineless, cowardly
spirited way. He's not afraid of men or
devils or what they will say or do, because HE'S GOD!
He is not discouraged when the stock market drops
and He's not upset because the wind is blowing this way
or that - He's God. He's not ready to "give up" on the millions of people who are
ready to give up on Him. he's God!
Think about it, that's His function as
the Heavenly Father. He loves YOU with an everlasting
love and He wants to see YOU succeed in everything you
lay your hand to - especially if you are one of His. But
He can't work in you if you're living in fear and
allowing the "spirit" of the enemy to get you down and
cause you to want to give up because... you know -
"there's just no use"; you've "tried it before and
failed"; "why even try anymore?".
Let me tell you where
that's coming from. Listen to His WORD from 1 Peter 8:
"Be sober, be
vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a
roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may
devour:" (KJV)
He goes on to say, "Whom
resist steadfast in the faith," (vs 9)
And in that 10th verse He says that it is GOD that will
make you perfect (mature), establish you and strengthen
you, and even "settle you".
Now, there's nothing better than a spouse that is mature
and strong and settled in their ways is there? There's
nothing like a mom or a dad or a boss or even just a
friend who is mature and strong and settled in their
ways - is there?
Let's finish off this week
with a solid understanding that when you are fearful and
depressed and feeling low, you are coping with a spirit
that is part of that "roaring lion crowd", and that
spirit has only one goal in mind - to destroy you. STOP
HIM! STOP HIM NOW! Just say, "In The Name of Jesus... I rebuke you devil! GET AWAY
FROM ME NOW! (He has to go! It's In The Word:) Now Submit
yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he
will flee from you." (ref.,James 4:7 (KJV)
Let's do it together shall we?
DEVIL OF FEAR (LACK, ANGER, DEPRESSION, SICKNESS - put
whatever is coming against you right now in this area)
I
RESIST YOU IN THE NAME OF JESUS, and BY HIS WORD YOU
HAVE TO FLEE! GO! IN JESUS' NAME!
Now pray this prayer:
Father God: I come to you now in Jesus' Name, and I
thank you for this word that you have brought to me this
morning that no matter what is standing in my way, I can
RESIST it in Jesus' Name, and by Your word He HAS TO GO!
I stand on that word today, and bless Your Name. I
choose to live and walk in the spirit today - in Jesus'
Name, Amen.
